New Fort Battle Formula II

We will soon be ready to release the second version of the new fort battle formula recently detailed on the devblog. It works like so:

Instead of calculating an attack and defend value, we now calculate the chance of a straight shot and a dodge. (There is no change to resistance calculations.) If the shooter aims successfully, according to their chance to shoot straight, the target then has a chance to dodge. If the dodging attempt fails, a hit is recorded and damage calculated, otherwise the shooter misses. If the initial shot misses, the dodging calculations are not required at all.

The chance to aim correctly is always at least 50% and no more than 90%. It can be increased by adding leadership and aiming, moving closer to the target, aiming at opponents in weaker sectors and additional bonuses from clothes and buffs.

The chance to dodge is always at least 5% and no more than 40%. It can be increased by adding leadership and dodging as well as additional bonuses from clothes and buffs.

As before, leadership provides a boost to damage, hiding (defenders) or stamina (attackers) provides a boost to resistance, and health points create a penalty to both.

Damage: WeaponRange + Trapping[sup]0.7[/sup]

Resistance: ResistanceBonus + Trading[sup]0.7[/sup]
