We are currently planning on applying the patch to version 2.35 on Monday the 14th of March. Please keep in mind and that the date, time and content of the patch are subject to change.
The Fort Battle Championship has ended!
We congratulate the Polish team for winning our first Fort Battle Championship! Contratulations also to Hungary and Germany for coming in second and third!
Of course we also want to give a big "Thank you!" to all players who participated. Please make sure to leave feedback in our forum so that we can make the next one even better!
All players will receive their prices shortly (see below). There will also be a little something for every participant, which sadly didn't make it into this patch but will be added to your inventories in the near future.
Easter is coming!
On Wednesday the 16th of March at 10:00am our Easter Showdown event will start.
As in the last years the bandit gang is back and it's your job to drive them out of town! The bandits can be duelled every eight hours. Duelling them costs nuggets or eggs which you can collect by doing actions in the game like jobs or duels. You can also reset the cooldown timer using nuggets or eggs. If you lose a duel you will not loose any health points, so don't worry about being KO'ed by them!
Winning against the bandits grants you a chance to win several items, including our new event sets. You can also win an exclusive event set for winning in a row. Every win increases the streak by 1. You need 120 consecutive wins to get all items. So be sure to have enough eggs in reserve to use a sneak shot should you loose a duel!
At the end of the event the player with the highest streak on each world will receive the unique "Tribal artifacts" weapons set.
Additionally we implemented a few changes in regards to last year's event:
Tactics vs. Appearance
We implemented a small change to the Easter event duels. Instead of being completely mirrored, the gang members now use the tactics value while the player uses the appearance value.
Event currency sending cooldown reduced
The cooldown for sending event currency to friends has been reduced to 23 hours so that it's easier to send eggs to your friends every day.
The Easter Bunny's hide
To complete the achievement "The Easter Bunny's hide", players were asked to wear the items from the Easter bunnies set. The quest is now available again and players will find these items in the UBP shop during Easter.
Counting Crows
All items from the Crow's Valentine's event set are now upgradeable as well as auctionable.
Watch a movie every day!
The daily task to watch a movie in the theatre should now be available again on all language versions.
New country belts!
We added a number of additional country belts. You will find them in the shop shortly. Sorry that it took so long Belgium. And Israel. And Austria. And Japan. And ...
Country belt changes
We adjusted the statistics of the country belts slightly. They now feature a level based bonus and are usable from level 1. The new stats are:
+0.015 Strength (per level)
+0.015 Dexterity (per level)
+0.015 Mobility (per level)
+0.015 Charisma (per level)
+0.1 Appearance (per level)
The Confederate and Indian belt got similar changes but still have their level requirement and additionally gained a work point bonus.
Added a hint on how to find the three eggs
The Easter questline in which players have to find the three eggs for Maya was confusing for some players. Since they missed the quest "Save the Saloon, part 2", the quest was showing up for them but the quest locations did not. We added a hint to the quest so that players know how to proceed.
Dynamic quest timeframes for Easter questlines
We implemented a new way to handle our Easter quests. The start/end times are now set automatically. This way we no longer need to manually adjust these every year.
The quest "Easter" from the "Little things" questline (quest ID 165) now runs from 72 hours (3 days) before Easter Sunday (midnight) until 96 hours (4 days) afterwards. The new timeframe for 2016 is: 17.03.2016 at 00:00 until 31.03.2016 at 00:00.
The questline "Easter" (base and repeatable) now start 72 hours (3 days) before Easter Sunday (midnight) and end 432 hours (18 days) after Easter Sunday. The new timeframe for 2016 is: 17.03.2016 at 00:00 until 14.04.2016 at 00:00.
The questgroup "Finding Mister Easter Bunny" now runs from Easter Sunday (midnight) until 336 hours (14 days) afterwards. The new timeframe for 2016 is: 17.03.2016 at 00:00 until 10.04.2016 at 00:00.
Nutcracker exchange
Due to a configuration error some players received a second nutcracker during Christmas instead of a skillpoint. We will run a script after the update to retroactively add the missing skillpoint to these players.
Christmas Bounty
When opening the Advent calendar in January (or later) players got a bounty on your head. Now you will only get a marble for opening it late.
More tomatoes!
Previously it was not possible to consume more than one fresh tomato salad. Now you can eat as many as you want!
Fixed crafting limit
It should no longer possible to exceed the maximum crafting level of 700 by batch crafting a large amount of green recipes.
Fort Battle Championship Player titles
The player titles "Fort Battle Master", "Fort Battle Champion" and "Fort Battle Expert" have been added to the game and will be added to the top three team's players shortly.
Fort Battle Championship Medals
The players from the three winning teams will also receive a medal. The current stats are preliminary and might be adjusted in the near future, depending on the testing currently going on on our beta worlds.
Romeo is now foolish at the same date
The base and repeatable "One foolish Romeo" are now accessible during the same timeframe (14.02. 10:00am until 03.03. 00:00am). This fix was rolled out with version 2.34.2 already but was missing from the changelog.
We hope you like the changes this update brings to the game. As always we are looking forward to your feedback in the discussion thread!
Best regards
Your The West Team
Known issues:
The headgear item from the Shawnee set is not something worn by Shawnee indians (actually it's from the Tlingit). The graphic will be exchanged with something more fitting.
The new country belts are not available in the shop yet. These will be added manually.
Currenlty the possible Egg rewards for the first two stages of the Easter duels are wrong. These will be adjusted (650 for stage 1, 1500 for stage 2)
The "Easter" questline (base and repeatable) will not start 7 days ahead as usual.
The changelog for v2.35 is missing ingame
