Later today we will run an update to enforce the cap of 100 simultaneous friends. Previously, if someone sent you a friendship request, you could accept it even if you were above the limit.
If you have over 100 friends, those you most recently added will be removed from your friends list until you have only 100 left. This means that even if you are currently under the friends limit, you may lose some friends, although a new request will be sent automatically to the removed players. The other player then has the ability to cancel a different friendship to accept yours once more.
