Christmas has already arrived on the beta server! The Christmas Sale has already started and will run until the 7th of January.
In the shop you find several boxes from past events which you can buy for bonds and nuggets. Compared to last year we decided to switch to bonds for two reasons:
1. We found that dollars have not proven to be a good choice. It is a very unstable currency and the amount of available dollars varies greatly between worlds and even between players of the same world. While this is also somewhat true for bonds those are overall more evenly distributed between worlds and players; primarily due to them being tied to the price of nuggets.
2. As we are using event currency in almost all our events now bonds were becoming less useful and players asked us for ways to use their bonds. While will also evaluate the possibility to partially use bonds in events again (among other suggestions) we find that the Christmas sale is a perfect opportunity to make use of the bonds players have been collecting over the year.
Overall we think that the switch to bonds is the better choice, but we understand that this change will be seen as negative by some players. We apologize for the troubles this might cause.
But we think that this way the sale more accessible and fair to all our players.
Known issues:
- The sale setup will change slightly. Currently there is only one item on a sale rotation. This will be changed to three items so that there is a better chance for items to re-appear in the rotation.
- Currently the store tab and notification items are missing.
- The Octoberfest and Day of the Dead 2015 chests are missing. This is not a bug. Those are not a part of this year's sale as the events are too close to the sale. We will make them available at a later date.
- The images for the Day of the Dead 2014, Docile Steed and Lots of toys items are missing. This will be fixed in a later update.
- The Christams sets (which you can find in the 2015 boxes) doesn't have a set bonus yet.
- The Christmas set pants and scarf have a wrong attribute bonus. This will be fixed with the next update.
- The 2015 Chests say 2013 in the description. The description is wrong. It should be 2015.
