@Nere: i share your sentiment.
But they will not assign more developers to the game when the same developers produce more money working on other games, and that's very likely to be so. That's how it is and will continue to be.
TW is an old game which on the client side has nothing in common with their modern (and for me uninteresting) games. It's an island, where no development can be used elsewhere (maybe it's different on the server side, but i don't think so, and it wouldn't matter much anyway).
To bring TW in line with the other games would require a whole new frontend / client side, bringing TW into the modern age and onto the mobile phones. Innogames would have done that already if there was any chance for it to happen. Just imagine fort fights - map and chat - on a small screen. You can't do that so that the usability on the small screens doesn't suck compared to that on a large screen, and adventures are not much better. That's two important features (even if i hate adventures) you have replace totally, and if that happens the new game wouldn't be the TW we like.
They'll continue as before, with few small instead of many miniscule updates, and that's it. It may be better that way, because many of these miniscule updates were just disappointing. I really don't need hot air in the 14 day interval.
Of course the fact that the leaving of single person causes a change of the update schedule doesn't look great, but rather the opposite, but the new schedule may be for the better. People less familiar with the code base shouldn't be expected to work in the same schedule ("two hours per 14 days", which may be a bit exaggated) an experienced developer could work in (or, maybe, work an extra hour for the game they have a connection to from back when they created it).
Note: when i wrote "may be for the better" i didn't mean expect it to be better than before, but better than the possible worst :-)
You play and buy nuggets for the game as it is. Don't try to buy into a future game.
