What can I do? I am super bored with the game currently. I am still somewhat active but it has gotten too stale for me. What can I do?

At least I am lucky to be in a very active server can't even imagine playing on a dead world. But still the game after so much time feels boring. I just wish we got some big update or we finally get world with no events.

Any thoughts on what to do?

Like in most MMO genre games, End game is achievement hunting and/or item collecting and/or fighting for leaderboards

I mean about actual fun not what to do. Competing for rankings can be fun definetely. But after so long everything feels too repetitive.

If I didnt have my 3-4 good friends in the game to have fun once in a while I would have long long deleted. I have spend 0$ to this game btw.

But basically now I do what you said. Collection trying to get any chest I can.

I have some bad news then.
Don't except any big content updates ever.

Maybe play the-west more casually, give it a break or try other games. If you spend less time in the-west it won't be as boring. Queue some orders and login for the more fun aspects like some duels or FFs if you fancy that.
