I would like to know what formulas are now for duel?
I do not remember the 2011 ^^
How to calculate the resistance now?
Duelling formulas have never been public knowledge and we have no plans to change that
these rules : https://wiki.the-west.net/wiki/Duels#Duels are available?
I can not understand this: http://prntscr.com/80bezf , diggo can give an example ?
Most of those fundamentals never changed but I'll make sure it gets a proof read. Obviously some player-discovered things like the 50% stance bonus will no longer hold true.
Okay, here's an example: say you have only the skills 100 aiming and 100 dodging. If I duel you with 500 aiming and dodging then my town will lose an honour point, but if I duel you with 100 aiming and 100 dodging or even less then my town will gain an honour point.
i understand now
If resistance formulas are changed, we need to know them really. Without it we can hardly do anything in that resistance build.
I like the idea of honour points - nice introduction.
Like the idea of not showing up on the duel screen if i have not initiated a duel in past 7 days. Maybe i will fly under the radar a little better.
Honor points is also an interesting feature.
Glad to see the dev's are working on positive improvements to the game. Looking forward to this update
The secondary skill was boosted but still sits lower than originally.
will people get free potions of new beginning so they can reskill and not feel aggravated that their build has become useless?
The pots are already really cheap, let's not get greedy, shall we?
Looks like a step in the right direction.
But as long as the low-mots just have to bible-duel a few people to lower duel-level, it won't make much difference. If Innogames really want the dueller to gain duel-levels, remove the possibility to loose duel-experience.
With the cap of 450, people will have lots of targets. Would encourage InnoGames to make the cap an effective cap, while letting the actual duelling-level rise, so the competitive duellers can go for highest duelling level.
The honour thing seems a bit fishy at the moment.
10% is a nice step, but would prefer if motivation compares to skills.
For example 100 aiming at 100 motivation and only 10 aiming at 10% motivation.
This is the way it works at jobs (except products) why not with duels?
Anyway: good job so far.
I don't like this part :
*Players who have not initiated a duel in the past seven days will be hidden from the duelling menu.
*Non-duellers will be hidden as if they were under duel protection, sleeping or inactive. They may still be challenged as normal from player profiles, town saloons, map locations and the sheriff building.
Reason : on duel menu i found just 10 players ( http://prntscr.com/80hl6z ): all 10 players with a low level as mine, if I will attack, I receive dishonourable duels, so I do not like
Perhaps the difference in levels is close enough so they wouldn't be considered dishonourable.
An honour indicator on the duel screen would be nice.
I can only now see 9 duelable people in my duel window. I really hate his feature. I will basically start camping the same people over and over to overcome this.
If it stays, then if they are not visible to anyone else, they should also not have access to the duel window at all, until they complete a duel at least.
I think the time period of just 7 days is to short and shoud be increased to 20-30 days minimum!
Just think about the more often coming events (like independence) where you have to work non-stop/24h to get the best results. During such events the duel activity is rapidly going down (for most people down to zero) and with the limit of 7 days only there will be none players left on your personal duel menu at the end of the event.
7 days is fine and as mentioned you can still duel other players by clicking on their profiles, so you still have the same amount of targets as you would, just have to hunt for them. Which has a much better chance for more actual targets than having players give away wins for Ko's and staying off all together
Can you imagine how aruous it is to click through all profiles to duel other players after such events? It would mean to make your personal list of opponents before the event and klick all their profiles, check their positions manually etc. after the event.
30 days would be NO disadvantage for non-duelist because these players didn't start any duels for weeks/months but it is really a disadvantage for duelist!
