That's actually sad y'know.
Because some are quite weak or outdated regardless.
I mean, what's the point of making something Level based if they won't be of any help?
For example, Shiny Golden Weapons set would be great with a little bit of bump.

It is really starting to look entirely pointless, eh.
I didn't care about the shop clothes, because they are not going to be viable, but I was excited for possible updates to outdated sets. What we need most of all is a viable range of sets that cater to all possible play-styles (as opposed to one or two "super sets" that only allow for a limited range of competitive gameplay).
Since this game is about Sets now.
This would have been the perfect opportunity.
My only possible assumption is that there will be future worlds without tombolas, but then, the game was perfectly balanced that way already, without the need for making everything level-based.

At the moment, only the sets that do not scale per level are being worked on. I have submited the request for the Doolin set (as requested above) and as soon as I receive an answer, I will make sure to post it here

At least a couple of viable sets in each of the following categories would be really dank, whether it's ideally updated sets or new easily accessible Tombola sets which would take a long time:

Why only 11 jackets are updated? It used to be around 30 items per update, which was already way too slow.

Can you tell me how is cowgirl for damage and josephina is not? Josephina gives more vigor and more aiming than cowgirl. You can compensate lack of appearance from cowgirl with more points in appeareance from skills or from combinations. Cowgirl is outdated, not viable and josephina is not usable is META. Vaquero is not viable is just usable in combinations with josephina (because it's definitely meta). Full vaquero (and yellow felt hat) is good only if the enemy has a weird set/build with t/r (mostly toughness) and want to break through his resistance. 2 or 3 cowgirl items are also ok in combination with 2 josephine items for more appearence. Behan is the worst set The west ever had. Fullstop. It has so little tactics that it makes it useless. Josephine has way more vigor and also more aiming and dodging. Bounty hunter' set is not obsolote, it's still viable. If an enemy had a lot of toughness and reflex, you can beat him using Bounty hunter's set or some items from this item in combination with others. Both of you will deal minimum damage (0.25 x weapon's damage), but you will have more dodging/aiming and will win. If you have points in toughness or the enemy doesn't have a lot of vigor (for example that trash set called Behan) you can destroy him with this set. You will deal maximum damage, he will deal minim. It's safer than playing for aiming/dodging because the random is crazy in this game. Highlander's shirt is great on defense (even on attack if you need appearence). The pants are also decent on defense, even if you can replace them with vaquero's if you need shooting and tactics. The other items may be ok in some weird combinations, the same goes for Mclaughlin's set. So...partially viable. Lucky clover was always a bad set. No set that gives you a little from everything will be a good one. So, it's obsolete/outdated, not usable. I have never seen someone with Curling set so I won't comment on this one. I think it may be usable, so you're probably right. Because of the lack of reflex duel sets, some working items are good in combination with other duel items: some ringo clothes, maddison and even Butch Cassidy!
PS: I am only talking about the clothes. Yes, cowgirl and vaquero weapons are the best! 10-20 flat dmg and 1.25 dmg x lvl and great bonuses.
When it comes to fort battles you are on point, but Livingstone is still viable. For attack at least. Not as good as Wilson, but it's not a huge difference like compared with Cortina on defense. Carribean set is bad. The lack of leadership makes it pretty bad. It's usable at most.

Livingston clothing was never a viable set.
But a critic fodder. (Preferred Zapata clothing)
And even with lack of Leadership Caribbean is easily superior to other Attack sets.
Especially if you have Nugget Bear and mask.

It's not, but 1 leadership = 1 aiming and 1 dodging and because of the diminishing returns, the first points are the most important ones! First 200 leadership points give you 14.14 attack and 14.14 defense. To get double these values you need extra 600 leadership. So yeah, first skills are the most important for fort sets. The only skill that doesn't suffer from diminishing returns is HP (but duellers handle this). Aditionally, soldiers shares theirs leadership with others, so it's more important than you think. If the set would have offered at least 1 leadership per level, would have been great, but in this state... i prefer wilson. You can easiliy up this set ^3^4.

Let's say: Carraibean set + cortina ^2 for horse/saddle and weapons vs wilson ^3^4 + same cortina ^2 (for attack, of course)
(In this screenshot you cannot see the resistance and attack/defense from the sets, but i will add them here)
For the first combination (with carraibe) we have:
1176 hp
92.94 attack
128.44 defense (98.44 + 30)
205.16 resistance (193+12.16)
For the 2nd combination (with wilson) we have:
1024 hp
111.01 attack (109.81 +1.2)
129.95 defense (103.45 +26.5)
191.64 resistance (180 + 11.64)
They are pretty close in terms of defense, but i prefer this higher attack of wilson. Yes, I lose 150HP and I know you think a tank don't deal damage, but I do an average of 450 per shot. If you have a good weapon, you may deal even more than 15k damage per fort fight.

Gonna be honest, I didnt read most of that - my intention was to highlight the fact that of all of the main playstyles for the PvP, there's a significant lack of viable and competitive sets, not provide a comprehensive guide of all the sets in the game, and like I said, I'm trying to present it in the most basic way possible, not going into attack/defence melee/shooting etc.
It's an interesting personal choice to heavily mix sets and lose their main bonuses, but to each their own.
Feel free to present your own better version of the set-list if you know more about the game.

We will go back to the usual number with our next updates. Unfortunately, due to some internal issues, we were only able to improve 11 items for this update
