18th Birthday! - Discussion

You should tag him more he doesn't answer if you tag him only 3 times. He only likes your post. It takes more.
I tag @Loki too much! Unfortunately, I often get insulted by other players! Like, why, and why I tagged CM, etc., and I have no comment on the proper feedback regarding the mounts! ("I can't say anything about that right now.", "I'm currently looking into the matter.", "I need more information for that." :njub: )

It is your right guaranteed by the constitution. You should tag whoever you want. I will tag this random user to prove a point @carolosjk

Once again, the amount of thought that has gone into creating this new "content" is just mind blowing.
Regarding this new flatbread buff... I MEAN WOW... +15% experience? who came up with this? Clearly not someone who plays the game..

Job xp example.
Hunting foxes base xp 42
Silver job: 50% more
Silver base xp=42+0.5*42 = 42+21 = 63
+15% FLATBREAD (that is 15% of 63) = 0.15*63 = 9.45

Let's say you get +400% XP bonus from your clothes.
XP @ 15sec = 63 + (400/100)*63 = 315

But with the flatbread, you'd gain 9.45xp extra, so 315+9.45 = 324.45 (game will round it to either 324 or 325 idk) let's defy math and common sense and call it 325.

Let's now say it's our lucky day and there is indeed the two highest XP jobs silver and you wish to utilize your flatbread.
Hunting foxes and robbing gun salesman.
Let's be generous and say that in 30 minutes you manage to complete 100 jobs (I included the travel time)

100 jobs*315xp = 31,500 xp
100 jobs*325xp = 32,500 xp (with flatbread)

By using the flatbread you gained an extra 1000 XP in 30 minutes time. Which you could have gotten by doing just an extra 3 jobs at hunting foxes which takes 45 seconds.
1000xp out of 31,500xp is 3.17%

So tell me whether it is misleading or not to say you gain +15%xp from something when really the net difference is a measly 3.17%.

Now if you changed the bonus to +150%xp, that would make it as follows:
1.5*63 = 94.5
meaning that when you do 100 jobs, you gain an extra 9450 xp for a total of 31,500+9450 = 40950
that 9450 xp you'd need to do 30 jobs at 315 xp to gain it
9450/31500 = 30% actual extra xp!!

If my math is wrong, prove it !!!

It's pretty much embarrassing to call this a birthday event where we are supposed to celebrate or something.
Like are we the invitees or are we the clown?

Your math is completely fine but you forget a couple of things. In no particular order:
- best buff from shop is Avocado at 44 bonds for 6hrs use and 20% EXP;
- best buff that can be crafted at a high crafting level(875) is Winter Food Supplies with 1000% bonus for 5 mins every 7 days.
- best buff that can be crafted at low level is 15th Birthday Cake every 7 days with a 6hrs use and 25% EXP.
- this buff has no crafting cooldown, can be crafted at low level thus can be used by anyone. For this you shouldn't consider it best in slot. IDK what they can really do with it to make it good without replacing older buffs.
- you should think about this buffs as an addition to your bonuses and not as something separate. Ofcourse by having 400% bonus EXP your actual bonus is much lower but you should think of it for example like having instead of Geronimo hat+ Geronimo scarf for 60% EXP you wear Gringo hat+ Geronimo scarf at 70% EXP. Do you know that Gringo hat is worth over 50 mil for a 10% EXP increase?
I'm not saying this buff is any good as we already have better alternatives with the cheapest and probably most used one being Avocado for 20% EXP using your bonds. It's a hard thing to balance this.

Like are we the invitees or are we the clown?

You forgot to mention this:

"Expect good vibes, great company, and a night worthy of this special birthday because 18 only happens once, and The West deserves a proper party."

I feel like this line was unnecessary and contradicts the content of this event. If you want us to "Expect good vibes, great company, and a night worthy of this special birthday because 18 only happens once" then give us CRAAAAZY recipes, huge bonuses during the time the event is up, an unforgettably good anniversary set and then MAYBE we can call it "the proper party The West deserves"

InnoGame lives in Hamburg, right? Where do the young people celebrate their 18th birthdays?

With friends and colleagues. Party venue, pub, the Elbe River, go-kart track, bubble soccer, paintball, shisha bar, kebabs, pizza, etc. Oops, yeah, lots of alcohol!

But no dueling, fort battles, or adventures!

@Loki can you ask if its possible to get some special 18th Birthday bonuses? I think it can fit the theme perfectly.

It doesnt need to be something broken, maybe 50% exp , money and some other helpful buffs?

Maybe more unrealistic but could fit the theme 180% exp and money.

Hello,

Is it possible to move exp from 18 birthday set boots to belt? we keep getting exp boots every 2nd event and never belt.

@Loki Do we have an answer if the mount set will be changed? Or what the bonuses where supposed to be? As i dont think it was meant to have 90% product drop.

1. great job
2. weak with better already existing items, I woud do dmg 50 - 100 to make some good dmg also replace HP with speed.
3. great for active world where players are still dueling
4. TP has finally after all those years good crafting

Applause on listening to our feedback about bday set. Seems like you all up there need weeks of hateful reply to move to the right direction. This set is actually very good balanced now, imitation to winner tombola sets for players that dont have money or cant compete but want to wear something new, nice and meaningfull. Hat having 30% is finally here, I hope this year, when XP set will be released, you will focus more on body, because after summer poncho there is nothing to wear.

Now the question is, if these bonuses will get to the market, or not. As here was mentioned recently about easter winner set, you offered them players horseback riding and they didnt get it. Or will it be later on nerfed before its final release?

omg you did some small changes, and honestly they were done in the right direction, someone actually read the players feedback and did something based of it, i am the first person to complain when needed but i am also the first person to clap when deserved.

flatbreads are now the best xp buff in the game (not counting winter food that has a whole different mechanic) i dont know why we are jumping from best xp craftable being 20% (cocktail) to directly 35%, skipping the 25% and most importantly the 30% milestones but at least now that recipe isnt useless

medicine bottle offers rice stew damage at the cost of 3 hit chance, makes sense, best buff is from shop costs bonds, then you have viewfinder for hit chance, boobytrap for dodge chance, medicine bottle for dmg, and also its nice to have at least 1 option with 1 use, i personally hate when i have to choose to trash my last use on rice stew or not use toy-gun in a duel, this is a good example of how to do things, dont make something useless and dont make something that is very powercreep, find a middle ground that offers interesting alternatives to the gameplay

you moved the xp from the shoes to the hat, that was the right play, shoes already have reaper, oakley, lost indian... an even better play would be hat+belt
you also took down the product drop chance from the ride from the absurd ridiculous insane powercreep of 90% to 70% good move it will still be the new best in slot but not too much of a big jump

alright, maybe you will change the xp from the neck to the belt but no one is gonna die if you dont, also remember next year the blackmsith and master saddler recipes have to be better (or at least more interesting) than tonic peddler and field cook recipes, but we are good to go

I always complain, thats why I got permabanned with 3 accounts but now I am surprised, great job! Respect Loki.

18th Birthday bow with arrows can this have 15% xp as well instead of money? Only make sense if both weapons giving xp
