Lol, I does seem to me that they are just doing this so they can tell Innogames "we updated all the items in the game this year! Bonus pls", without considering the impact it will have.

But who knows, maybe there's a coherent plan somewhere, it's a shame that isn't shared with the players, or even the beta testers and we have to guess how her intentions are.

Just to have all items "Level based" for showcase and to have some lines of patch notes I reckon.

I dunno if Duelers could use an item or two for the mix but that still would be a very limited use.


I mean..
They somewhat touched some of things of the list I wrote here (which I respect) but.. Gotta push a little bit harder with a knowledgable Developer.

To be fair, the shop clothes will have an immense impact on new worlds, completely changing the one good month of The-West in its true form - before tombolas.

They will also impact "classic style" events, in the same sense as new worlds.

So it implies to me that they are planning on running Tombola-Free worlds, or else this is just a colossal waste of time and resources.

Even if a dueller might consider using a piece of shop clothing, it will probably be outweighed by a simple set bonus from any tombola duel set.

I know some using 1 piece of a Set in the mix but they are pro-Duelers and there are very few of them left.

So, very limited use (if any) like I said.

They should remake old items and make them usefull. I saw an interesting comment anitherforum about the item updates:


What should be done is unique combinations of skill points on the following categories:
1)duelling
2)fort fights
3) adventures? ( I know many dont care)
4) building
5) working/any abilities useful for tasks

By that way all items could be usefull (situationally at least). But instead we have 5 maybe usefull(actually not?) and 100 that are completely useless. (Before the updates we had 0 useful big difference ino haha not).

!!!UPDATE SHOULD MEAN IMPROVEMENT!!!
 
Most of the old items were created useless in the first place.
I mean who is gonna wear an item rhat gives dodging + swimming or aim + stamina or hp+ trade???? Why?
Combos that dont make any sense shouldn't exist.
Complete waste of development hours in my opinion. And if it is hard to think for the game that you are supposed to work for you can ask us the players the funbase and we can contribute.

What annoys me really about this boost is total lack of proportionality. I would estimate that quality (stats and usefulness) will rise with price, level requirement and rarity.... Instead I have feeling like this: Step 1: random start with base sets (which was okaish apart some blunders like "stupidly op" black wool belt) > Step 2: start of hats boost; until top hats quality of boosted items kind of graduated, but ignored all that was done before on base sets > Step 3: Someone realised, that hats boosted in step 2 are too powerfull, got scared and quality started to deteriorate... The most useful hat on works should have been fancy/named calvary hats > instead the best hat is cheap fancy bowler hat, which has better stats per level, than the most expensive hats (yes, people surely pay for low quality, argument that higher level doesn´t mean better stats is in my opinion completely wrong...).

I´m getting serious feeling that people developing this game may have some creative talent, but are totally incompetent in maths, analysis or anything related to the numbers.

Apparently "Fancy" ones are better than Shiny/Named ones too.

Thank you for the feedback thus far - I will pass this on :)

but for actual SETS that could become viable and that could actually fix your game if handled properly, they really should update all items of a set at once, not the hat one month, then 4 months later the neck, then 4 months after that maybe the shoes etc.
Full sets improvement have not been disregarded however (unfortunately) I do not have any news on whether this will happen - it may or may not :). Of course, as soon as I receive this info, I will post it here :)

It wouldn't be fair to switch bonuses between fancy felt hat and black wide brim because already a lot of players made fancy felt hat +5 because of the current bonuses.

1. At the moment, we will only improve items/sets that do not have ''per level'' bonuses. Afterwards, we will move onto the SHOP items and the veteran shop.
2. We do not have any plans to update/improve old items/sets that already have a 'per level' bonus.
3. However, if you have a set that you like and would like to see it improved, please let us know and we can create something similar with better bonuses for future events.
4. Hat improvements should be done and we have some time until the next phase. With that being said, please feel free to let us know what kind of sets you would like to see improved and we will try to work on them ( from those sets that do not have 'per level' bonuses). I already have the Natty B., Allan Q. and Chingachgook sets on the list that I will pass on.


On a separate note, if you have any ideas and/or request for sets for our future sales, for the Harvest Event and/or for the Oktoberfest event, please comment them on this thread and I will also pass these on :lovetw:

I would sugest that the sets that are receiving changes should be in the mini-events such as the hatvest one. (so all those that as of today don't have the "Per lvl" bonus)

Good to hear, ty for the update.

Then the only point of feedback I have right now, and hopefully to take into the next phase, is that higher level items (and more expensive items) with regards to the basic tailor/gen store/gunsmith items, should probably be more powerful than lower level items, and the special, rare, and highly collectable Named versions of items should be better than the Fancy, Sharp, Precise etc. versions of items.

An upgraded selection of available sets in the bond SHOP could be very interesting...


As for future set ideas....

Work sets:
Construction sets, luck sets, product drop sets, and exp sets are always highly regarded. Maybe some hybrid sets, with speed, money and Labour points mixed in too.

Fort sets:
The bar right now is Union/Captain and Cortina. New sets have to compete with them, while catering to different builds, playstyles or sides (attack or defence)

Damage sets:
Union officer (sector damage and attack bonus)

There's a good range of options for both attack and defence in the game already, and most meta sets have powerful sector damage buffs. You could continue to make these sets available for limited times in the SHOP during tombolas, or replace basic item chests with specifically hand-picked fort set item chests.

Tank sets:
J. Cortina (resistance and defence bonus)

Not too many options available here, and they are very hard to acquire in-game. There's no use of powerful sector bonuses for resistance or defence purposes, which could be an interesting addition to new sets, if at all possible. Cortina is a very competitive Defence set, however nothing that is offered for attacks can compete with it. I'm talking closer to 900-1000+ hiding is needed to mitigate both tower advantages, and Cortina's very high Trapping and Defence bonus.
And, as I always hope will happen, make existing sets more available on worlds that they already exist on.

But honestly the best thing that could happen for tanks is better class bonuses :njub:

These sets have fallen slightly behind the power curve, they were once a useful option to prevent Soldiers and Adventurers from being "Crit-magnets" and turning them into dodging machines instead, as a means to mitigate damage potential. They're usually useful in both attacks and defences, having both Hiding and Setting Traps, but they could be specialised. Something similar with more Hiding and/or Setting Traps would be interesting.

Resistance:
No suitable sets exist

Dodge:
No suitable sets exist

Please no Tank (or Damager) set in DotD though...

We already had the "short straw" as Tanks.
It wasn't in xmas bags and wasn't sold in Shop either.
So only option was during the Event with many Nuggets. Which we call "scam"

While Damagers got their best set after Union Officer from the best event Oktober(aka September)Fest for "free"

Everything from 2013 and before seems to be non-level based, everything from 2014 and after is already converted.

The set is deemed to be too overpowered for the current state of the game and, as such, will not be re-implemented in the game, whether through sales or any other means.
