Today we are releasing the complete item rework to Amchitka and Enewetak, as featured in the most recent community report, ticking the version number over to 2.07. (Alamogordo remains on the fort battle changes code branch.) Previously items have been designed individually by various game designers over the years, based upon their thoughts at the time. Now, the bonuses, requirements and cost of items have been scaled using the same formula behind the pants and belts. This means headgear, neckbands, clothing and shoes see the greatest changes, in addition to the hundreds of new items.
Many of the items are now more expensive, some less. This reflects the increased bonuses to these items and the decreased value of ingame money. As you've probably read elsewhere, these new prices are already activated on the other servers, due to the likelihood of people flooding the market after the update with cheap items bought on "inside information". This was a conscious decision: that a level playing field was more important in this instance than announcing the changes as soon as possible.
