Interim Update Changelog

Main Features

  • Blackboard
    The town screen has been redesigned for townless players. Town founders can advertise spare rooms on the blackboard.
  • New tutorial
    There's nothing better than darning socks, except perhaps for some real action!
  • Early quest redesign
    All quests from levels one to thirty have been reviewed and tweaked by the game designers to be more relevant.
  • 3 new specialist questlines
    From level fifty, three new questlines will become available for specialists in trading, fort battles and duels.

Improvements

  • The first time players are run out of energy or health, a new tutorial gifts them some more.
  • Hint buttons were added to the quest book.
  • The markers for read and unread telegrams have been made more distinct.
  • Markey buy screen considers stack amount when sorting by price.
  • A search box was added to the town forums.
  • The reload button was added to the town forums.
  • Sleep is now always added to the task queue after being knocked out in a fort battle.
  • Job reports indicate whether a gold or silver ring was used.
  • The friends list limit was increased to 100.
  • Buttons opening ingame windows now use a toggle system, not simply click to open/reload.
  • A close all windows button was added to the minimised windows interface.
  • "Mount" item category was renamed to "animal".
  • The menu buttons in the town forum appear at both the top and bottom of the page.
  • The tooltips in the skill screen have been enhanced.
  • Item categories you don't possess are greyed out in the inventory.

As some of you have seen already, there is a New Wasteland quest. This is a direct replacement to the original Wasteland quest, which will be deactivated at midnight on 12 September unless you have already accepted the first quest. Once the first quest of the old line has been completed, or is currently accepted, it is impossible to start the new questline. Even if you manage to start both questlines, only one can be completed as it's impossible to find more than three fertiliser.

We just roled out another update. The main new feature of this update is the new item shop design.
Only half of you will see the new shop design though. The reason for this is that we are doing an A/B test in order to find out which design performs better, the old or the new one.

The new shop design does not include any new features or items, only the screendesign changed.

Still, if you encounter any bugs with the new shop, please let us know!
Feedback is also very welcome of course.

Bugfix update 2.06.1-rc2

General:
- all performance workarounds have been removed
- fixed: finish quests "open window X" without active questtracker was not possible
- fixed: free halvewaytime could end up without closing button after video was finished
- fixed: player protection dialog was sometimes popping up without k.o.

Blackboard:
- fixed: joining a town via blackboard kept other town invitations
- fixed: duplicate player entry when player was looking for a town
- fixed: towns turning to ghosttowns have been listed on the blackboard
- fixed: towns couldnt remove themselves from blackboard when approaching memberlimit

Oktoberfest:
- fixed: switched mobility & dexterity icons
- fixed: nugget icon was shown in eat!-popup when bonds selected

Please focus on the questtracker bugfix, the window quests and the questtracker in general again. There might be some issues due to some functionality change. To properly test it, also play around with an enabled tracker / disabled notebook, disabled tracker / enabled notebook, both disabled or both enabled. Refresh the game after you changed the settings though (keep in mind to wait ~5s before refreshing! - or changes will be lost).

Another small update today:

  • The Science Day questline has been enabled. For Science!
  • The number of NPC duels required, as written here, was reduced.
  • A time requirement from Letters from Nowhere was changed.
  • Miscellaneous minor bug fixes.
